NeuroAffective Relational Model® (NARM) is a cutting-edge, specialized, integrative framework for resolving complex, developmental, and relational trauma.
Those who have experienced complex trauma and are seeking to change unwanted patterns/behaviors/symptoms in their lives.
This model emphasizes the following:
Consent: This process is centered on your needs and desires. You will bring your expertise to this work and will be the driving force in guiding the process. Honoring your ability to choose and connecting you with a sense of that agency is vital.
Curiosity: This is a beautiful thing in healing. While I have training and years of experience, I will never know you more than you know yourself. I also do not know what is best for you in working toward healing. I seek to be open and curious around your process and provide support through questions that seek to uncover what supports and gets in the way of you more fully embodying what you want to experience for yourself.
Wholistic approach: You are more than the sum of your experiences. You are not a diagnosis or a set of symptoms and behaviors. You will be seen as a whole person who brings rich wisdom to the process.
Taking away the stigma: I work from the premise that every thought, feeling, and action you take is trying to be helpful (with an emphasis on trying). As we seek to understand their positive intent and purpose this can bring compassion and grace to previously painful areas. You are and have always been loyal to you. Working to find new ways to show that loyalty can be an empowering and freeing thing.
